With a new series on Amazon, beloved characters Clifford and Emily Elizabeth needed a slight refresher before reissuing the original hardcover. I was asked to update the original art to give Emily Elizabeth a more modern look that would match the new TV show more closely. I also "freshened" up Clifford, making him more uniform and even MORE cuddly. 

 

Retouching other artists' work is never an easy undertaking; that's even more true with art as iconic as Clifford. I was careful to stay true to Norman's original style, only altering pieces that needed it, and Norman's estate approved all of my work.
